What is Conscious Breathwork?

Conscious Breathwork is a healing modality in which the receiver or client intentionally manipulates and alters the natural pattern of respiration to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

Breathwork is an integrative and somatic based therapy that is accomplished through the guided use of somatic and intuitive movement, accelerated and diaphragmatic breathing techniques, as well as the complementary use of active touch from a heart coherent state of being.

It is a dynamic experience of full spectrum breathing using accelerated and deep diaphragmatic breathing techniques that can be accompanied by strong emotional and physical release.

Who are 1:1 Conscious Breathwork Experiences for?

The 1:1 Conscious Breathwork Experience is for you if you:

  • Are a reflective and self-aware individual who is on a path of self-discovery.

  • Have made the conscious decision to invest in your wellness and you are ready to do the work that is required for your healing and wellbeing.

  • Are aware that the Conscious Breathwork Practitioner is just a vessel and a loving witness that holds the space for you to come home to yourself.

  • Are aware that you have everything you need within you to heal.

  • Are aware of blockages within you and need support to explore and release them.

What does a 1:1 Conscious Breathwork experience look like?

  • Our journey will begin with a check in where you will be invited to share the themes/ life experiences/ sensations are alive for you now. This will also be an opportunity for you to share your intention for the session.

  • We will talk through the different breathing techniques, somatic movement, active touch and other supportive tools that you might experience through the breathwork experience as well as talk through the flow of the session.

  • The breathwork experience will involve ambient music and will begin with movement to open up the body and energy centres. This will be followed by active conscious breathing (in either a seated position or lying down) for about 25 mins. Through this experience you will be guided by my voice and gentle prompts. The experience will close with a period of rest and integration through hands on contact or guided active touch and intuitive movement.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person and is dependant on your intentions and what is alive for you.

  • Some people book one off 1:1 sessions when they are dealing with a particular challenge

  • Some book quarterly 1:1 sessions to check in with themselves throughout the year

  • Some choose to book a 3 month deep dive package (one session a month) to gain continuous support through a particular challenge. These participants are able to build on the momentum of each session and are witnessed over as longer period as they invite change into their lives.

  • Others prefer to attend group sessions to explore what is alive within them in community.
